Smart dragging, axis locking

TL;DR
Smart dragging, axis locking. Why only belts? What?
When dragging a line of assemblers or furnaces or steam engines or similar, player typically wants them to line up horizontally or vertically. However, mouse input is not perfect, so it is fairly common to make a mistake and misplace something.
Please add some tolerance for locking onto an axis, or maybe snap to blueprint.
Look at this visual example of AntiElitz misplacing halfway a line of green science assemblers.

Why?
This reduces frustration and time loss when building, and could make factorio feel "smarter".We nowadays have smart belts. Why not generalize this smartness?

I found some similar topics, but that was before the introduction of smart belts. So I would hope to see a reconsideration.
