[0.11.22] [Rseding91] Reproducible crash when un-deconstructing chest
Posted: Sun Jul 12, 2015 10:23 am
I have a separated logistic network that is being redesigned. In it, I have a full storage chest that is being deconstructed. However, it seems that the network segment is full, and the robots are trying to put things back into the same storage chest they are deconstructing. I figure I would shift-drag the deconstruction planner to relieve the robots of their futile efforts:

As soon as I do that, Windows becomes unusable for about 10 minutes (did not crash, just unable to do anything including opening the task manager -- mouse still moves, numlock still responds on USB keyboard)
- OS: Windows 7, 6GB of RAM, lots of swap
- Factorio was using about 2G of RAM just before the crash.

It appears that the un-deconstruct planner causes Factorio to allocate so much memory that Windows swap out everything, and then is still unable to allocate it.
