Ghost rails lack train placement previews

Context: When placing a train-related entity like a train station or railway signal, Factorio provides some convenient UI affordances like displaying valid placement locations.
Bug: When placing a train station next to ghost rails, one currently does not get the train station preview: https://i.imgur.com/cflXL0Q.png -- I assume the same applies to other train entities like railway signals or locomotives, but I didn't check those.
Reproducibility: This always happens, consistently.
