[2.1] Radar channel "frequency"

In Factorio 2.1, the new channel selection interface for radar selectors is amazing.
I would like to have a toggle or an extra field in the channel configuration UI that allows the channel to have a signal value instead of just a raw channel ID.
In other words, I'd like the channels to have their own values as well.
Another solution I can think of is simply the ability to enter your own channel names - just like train station names
Why?
- Better organization—I could have, for example, a call sign, say “Vulcanus,” ranging from 1 to 20, with different requests for different space ships.
