[2.1.7] The "Show researched" button doesn't save it's state between restarts.

I wrote it in the experimental release's thread too but I feel like I should make an appropriate thread rather than hoping a bug will get noticed in the release opinions thread.
What I wrote is:
Thanks a lot. This was a very much needed feature for those of us who didn't want to get spoiled by using the Factoriopedia.
The only problem is that it doesn't seem to remember it's state if I restart the game and it's on "Show unresearched" by default. If it's easy enough, it would be very nice to have it saved as a setting somehow and so it's hiding the unresearched stuff by default.
I'll only add that it does remember them if you don't restart your game, but rather save, quit to menu, and load back in. It might be why it was omitted.

Thanks for the report however this is not a bug. Many GUI things do not persist.

Sorry then.
I've considered it a bug because it basically makes people get jumped by spoilers whenever they use the Factoriopedia the first time every time they turn on the game.
Should I make it a suggestion thread instead?

Maybe there is part of the confusion. The setting was not implemented as a method to “avoid spoilers”. It was added as a method to reduce GUI clutter and confusion about what the player has access to and can use at that moment.

Factorio is not a game that involves surprises or spoiling things. The entire tech tree is visible from the first moment of the game.
