Add difficulty options when starting new game

With the debate over "space casinos" we've encountered the idea that certain things make the game too easy. Why not have difficulty options when starting a new game?

On easy, all restrictions are lifted and the game becomes a pure sandbox.

Normal would be the game we have now.

Hard would have extra restrictions.

It's impossible to make a single mode that works for everyone, so why not give options?

You could also have additional options to change things in more detail. Perhaps you like some restrictions but not others.

but there are difficulty settings (even much more customisable than what you mentioned) in the game already.

You can decide whether or not you can use quality modules in the asteroid reprocessing recipe already? Where is this option?

when you start a new game, before clicking the last 'confirm' you can adjust settings/difficulty options.

no idea about asteroid quality mining because I dont have DLC but you can make game harder or easier there.

This post was made in reference to quality modules being disallowed in a recipe in 2.1 because it was said to be too easy, and has nothing to do with the options you showed.

The point is that a one size fits all rule-set is not necessarily the ideal solution for Factorio, so having different options with regard to what restrictions are in place makes sense.
