Hello, I was Wondering How I would go about adding a new energy network.

Is there a way to create a new type for the interface https://lua-api.factorio.com/latest/typ ... ource.html
Like the same but change type:"electric" to type:"manpower"?

If not, is there some way to extend the existing electric components prototypes (poles and generators) and mark them somehow to disallow connection with traditional electric network components?

Neither are possible.
