Is there a mod or a way to mod into the game a way to disable intermediate hand crafting of items. For instance only be able to hand craft items that are buildings and placeable, also no hand crafting science too also?

That sounds very specific, i'm not aware of a mod that does exactly that, albeit there are some mods related to the "lazy bastard" achievement, the one where you are prevented to handcraft "anything" past a certain number, not just intermediate. The game require the player to handcraft a few thing, including some intermediate, a mod like the one you describe risk being "not winnable" or allow a precise number of intermediate to be handcrafted, and "no more then" which isn't something really comon in mods. In lack of exact match Im linking the closest i could think of :

You might have to spawn in an assembling machine and power generation, then.

You'd have to couple this with either unlocking Automation 1 by default or introducing some kind of tier 0 crafting machine that starts unlocked.

Has a setting for your mode. (settings->mod settings) (you have to restart the game that it takes effect.) Would be nice if someone provides a nice picture for the burner assembler under a free licence. Then the mod would be ready to be uploaded.
Including that would also add enough code to break 100 lines for the Musk-Benchmark if you include README, info.json and settings... I could also just add empty ones.
