Hi,

Occasionally (like every 2nd or 3rd time), Factorio crashes when entering the main menu on launching the game. It shows me a popup saying: "Unexpected error occurred. If you're running the latest version of the game you can help us solve the problem by posting the contents of the log file on the Factorio forums." I have the option to close the game or open the log file folder (I think). It happens before I clicked anything. I have the Enable Planets Modpack Lite installed and a few QoL mod, like, Bottleneck Lite, P.U.M.P. I would expect the game to start properly.

It's crashing in the graphics driver, if the driver is up to date check if you have steam overlay or some overlay running and try disabling them.

Thank you very much. It was the Steam Overlay that displays CPU utilization and FPS and such. I disabled it and now it seems the crashes are gone. (3 Starts without a crash). I will reply again in case the crashes return.

Hi again,

the crash happened again today. I got more insights on when it happens. When I launch the game through Steam and stay on the loading screen the entire time, then the game loads as expected.
If I Alt+Tab out of the loading screen during startup of the game crashes on entering the main menu, even if I am back in the game when it finishes loading.

I checked my graphics drivers and they seem to be on the latest state.
