[2.0.72] Rotation of building with Set Recipe is not always retained
Posted: Sat Jan 03, 2026 10:21 am
1) What did you do?
I have an automall with Set Recipe that also uses fluids. While testing it, i frequently delete the whole thing and undo to start over.
2) What happened?
When doing so, the rotation of the building is forgotten.
3) What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
The rotation of the building is retained.
4) Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
Not always. One of the buildings is remembered, one other is never remembered.
Repro steps
(edit) 0) Be in Editor mode with Instant Blueprint & Deconstruction Enabled.
1) Place the shared blueprint. Notice that for both buildings the fluid intake faces to the right.
2) Disable the constant combinator
3) Grab a Deconstruction Planner and delete the whole thing, then hit Undo.
4) After deleting/undoing, re-enable the constant combinator
You will notice that for one of the buildings the rotation was reset to default (bottom), whereas for the other one it didn't.
This is repeatable, i.e. you can do rotate to a non-default orientation, and one of the buildings will be remembered, but the other one will not. It is important that the recipe is unset when deleting/undoing, otherwise the issue does not repro.
For reference, I found this related fixed bug: 120686 , but the above still repros on latest 2.0.72 (linux build).
