Disable damage alerts for specific spaceships/surfaces

Some spaceships get minor damage and that is totally acceptable. The ship is planned to repair such minimal damage.

The problem is, damage alerts get mixed with planet damage alerts from biters/etc, which are utterly important. No one has patience to constantly check the damage in this case, since 99% are from ships.

Can we have an option to ignore damage alerts from specific ships/surfaces? Is it possible to create a mod which does that with the current factorio implementation?

Ships "designed" to get damaged and continually repair themselves is similar to a defense wall on a planet which is continually supplied by repair packs. Seems like they'd both satisfy this desire to disable their damage warning, or neither.

Since the warning becomes kind of pointless in both cases, it seems better to upgrade things so they don't get damaged. Then a warning really means something needs to get fixed.

If you could disable it for a ship / surface, in both cases it's now impossible to know if something seriously wrong happened. Something unexpected.

A counterpoint to this could be that, if I'm understanding OP's post correctly, the "entity destroyed" alert would still show up. To me, that's a bigger indication that there's a serious problem on the platform / surface.

Right now, I can think of two cases where I've thought the suggested feature would be nice. The first is when I have a small shipping platform that I haven't bothered to fully cover with turret radius, instead opting to just keep it constantly supplied with repair kits. In that case, as OP mentioned, I'm perfectly fine with it taking some damage while in orbit, and it gets annoying to see the damage alert every 30 seconds or so.

The second is from way back before SA but still applies. At some point (usually after getting full flamethrower and roboport coverage on walls), biter attacks are practically meaningless since the bots will just repair any damage done. The only time I actually care to see alerts is when they destroy something, just so I can make sure my defenses are adequate.

I understand if this can't really be implemented though. Not sure if it's the type of thing they're trying to get into 2.1, and it could also lead to some bad experiences if you forget the alerts are disabled or accidentally disable them.
