Recycler downgrading components

I've been having problems using recyclers to upcycle quality modules. Several RT hours of processing resulting in < 50 legendary quality modules.
The attached video shows a Rare quality module being broken down into uncommon components.
Is this intended behavior?

Can you please post a save file that shows a recycler that has yet-started-crafting that produces results with quality < the ingredients?

I am not seeing any bugs in this video. Recycler was given uncommon item to recycle, it started recycling it (recipe icon shows the uncommon item being recycled), item being recycled dissapeared from ingredient slot and so other item (including same item of different quality) was allowed to be inserted into ingredient slot.
Recycler does not force ingredients to match currently crafted recipe.

I think there could be some QoL improvement. Right now, the current recipe is shown in alt mode icon but the queued ingredient is shown in the recycler UI. It's hard to see them at the same time especially at high scaling when the UI likely obstructs the recycler itself (and its icon). It would help if the current recipe could be shown somewhere in the UI as well.

Thank you, I see what I was mis-interpreting. I thought the input buffer was actually the work that was being done, not really noticing the recipe being displayed in the alt image.
Now I know what I'm looking at, thank you.
