[2.0.69] Ghost tiles have wrong color near rails in remote view

What did you do?
I ordered robots to lay some bricks near existing rails. I used big selection of bricks to paint the area with new surface.

What happened?
I zoomed out to map view to check if I covered expected area with bricks. I noticed some evident gaps with landfill instead. I zoomed in to re-check - there were ghosts of bricks everywhere, no gaps.

Landfill is very visible but in the same manner other ground is also visible where ghost tiles should be.

What did you expect to happen instead?
I expected zoomed out map view to show ghosts and not "leak" original ground near rails.

Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
Happens always.

Nothing in your screenshot looks wrong. Can you highlight visually what exactly is bothering you?

Ghosts in general are see-through. Furthermore, there is 2 different colors of ghosts. Darker ghosts are waiting for materials and robots. Brighter ghosts will shortly be built by a robot that was already assigned the task.

I updated first post. Ghosts of tiles on zoomed out map view don't look transparent at all, but you can clearly see landfill color spilling out.

To make it even clearer, I made extra screenshots.

oooh … so this is primarily about remote view!

Bug report title does not mention remote view at all. I did not read your text carefully I guess …

You could consider renaming topic to emphasise: " Remote View: Ghost tiles have wrong color near rails"

Now that I have seen this, I cannot unsee :(

Perhaps I should have been more explicit with post title. This does seem like one of those things which one does not notice at first but later can't unsee. I have definitely spent many hours not noticing this.

It looks that tile ghosts are not rendering on chart when they detect a colliding entity on top of them. Rails are using custom chart patterns that do not match collision box and as such the gaps become visible in places where rail decided to not draw its pixel due to chart pattern and tile ghost decided to not draw its pixel due to colliding entity.

That's literal edge case error

This is now fixed for 2.1.
