[2.0.69] Space Background Sprite is cut off

When I move the camera all the way to the right or the left,
parts of the background sprites are cut off.
The rainbow/star background and the animated asteroid chunks are cut off.
The particles/dust are fine.
On my monitor this is only reproducible on the X-Axis, not on the Y-Axis, so I'm assuming the
uncommon resolution of 5.120 x 1.440 px (32:9) is part of root cause.
