Version 2.0.66 | Railway by drawing

Dear developers,

When trying to manually build a railway from a blueprint, some rail segments — especially curves — cannot be placed. The game shows that the placement is invalid, even though the blueprint looks correct and the area is free.

However, if construction is assigned to construction robots with the same blueprint, they build the rails without any issues, including the curves.

This means the behavior is inconsistent depending on the construction method:
• Manual placement: some rail segments (mostly curves) cannot be placed.
• Robots: all rail segments are placed correctly.

Additional Comment

When the player creates a blueprint themselves during gameplay, rail placement works correctly — the rails, including curves, can be built without issues.
However, if the player downloads a ready-made blueprint from the forums and imports it into the game, these placement problems may occur.

Respectfully!

Between versions 1.1 and 2.0 there was a rail shapes change and old shapes are no longer manually buildable, but they remain buildable if you have an existing blueprints with them. I will classify this as a Not a bug because there are no bugs there: just a mismatch between legacy rails placed through blueprint and manual building which tries to build rails using new shapes that have different alignment. A fix is to remove old rails that have wrong alignment.
