Allow vehicles to be affected by the surface gravity and air resistance on different planets

I think it would be a good idea to allow RollingStockPrototype.air_resistance and VehiclePrototype.weight to be configurable for each surface.

While this may not be significant for the base SpaceAge, it opens up interesting modding opportunities. For example, having a car handle very differently on a low gravity moon or a high gravity super earth would feel very thematic. Planetary characteristics affecting train handling can be made part of some interesting modded planetary puzzles.

I think this can be done already by creating a Specialized Vehicle for a given Surface - with Surface Conditions to permit it to be placed only on the intended Planet.

It is not a “one size fits all” solution, but then again, Vehicles do not normally move between Planets after they have been Placed, so it is not a terrible gameplay blocker by any means.

Good Luck!

That's a fair point, and may work for my particular use case right now, however it's not an ideal solution since it requires duplicate vehicles for each surface.

From a more general gameplay perspective though. Placing down a unique vehicle on a new planet and having it drive differently makes the vehicle feel novel (like the sub from Maraxsis). However, taking something you are already familiar with like a normal car or locomotive, and having it behave differently on a new planet makes the planet feel novel.
