Warn when disconnecting a wire while dragging cut entities

There's a new feature that leaves red and green wires connected when cutting and pasting entities. This is an amazing QoL improvement over 1.0.
However, it's a little dangerous to use. If the wires go out of reach, they will be silently cut. Or rather, not added back in. There is no user feedback, other than the wires not being drawn. But they can be really hard to see.
It would be great if there was any form of warning while moving the mouse. Maybe an icon next to the mouse cursor. Or a text.
Or maybe a warning after pasting. Undo is cheap. But I would prefer a warning ahead of time.
Current workaround: First paste in the same place where it was cut from, then undo. There will be a text "Undo addition of x wires". This counts the wires.
Then do the paste in the place where it's actually supposed to go. Undo again. Compare the number of wires.
