When in a train's remote view while on the same surface, trying place does not place construction ghost. Instead the actual item is placed and removed from inventory.

Thanks for the report. This is working as intended - you can only build items within reach of your normal character.

This is
not restricted to your normal placement range: it allows you to remotely manual build anywhere there's radar coverage.

More exact reproduction steps:
1. Stand within reach of a locomotive.
2. Open Remote View.
3. From within Remote View, click on the locomotive.
4. Try to build any building you have in your character's inventory. Despite your hotbar showing an empty inventory, this will put a stack of physical items from your inventory into your hand, which you can place anywhere.
If you miss the second step, then it does restrict you to your character's manual building range, but it still looks very odd.

Ah that's what I missed. Ok, this is now fixed for the next release.
