One thing that is notable is that 2.0.45 now disallows a number of easier than normal settings for the allowed_without_fight = false achievements. What would be helpful is if each settings tool tips were updated to indicate minimum/maximum value allowed to retain all achievements being possible.
Trees: Needs a tool tip indicating that modifying this setting may disable achievements.
Trees Scale: Seems to be Min 100%, thought higher scale spawns more trees to a degree.
Tree Coverage: Max 100%
Starting area size: max 100%
Enemy Expansion:
Maximum expansion distance: min 7
Minimum group size: min 5
Maximum group size: min 20
Minimum cooldown: max 4 minutes
Maximum cooldown: max 60 minutes
Evolution:
Time Factor: min 40
Destroy factor: min 200
Pollution factor: min 9
Pollution:
Absorption modifier: Should be Max 100%, instead its Min 100%
Attack cost modifier: max 100%
Minimum to damage trees: max 60
Absorbed per damaged tree: max 10
Diffusion ratio: Min 2%
And as for built in game modes:
Default: All achievements possible
Rich resources: All achievements possible
Marathon: All achievements possible
Death World - Violates the pollution settings due to previously mentioned bug of Absorption modifier being checked in the wrong direction.
Death World Marathon - Violates the pollution settings due to previously mentioned bug of Absorption modifier being checked in the wrong direction.
Rail World - Violates both easier expansion settings (disabled expansion altogether) and easier evolution settings (time factor less than 40).
Ribbon World - Violates expanded starting area rule (greater than 100%)
Lakes: All achievements possible
Island: All achievements possible, assuming you have enough resources.
Ideally, tool tips should be present indicating the min/max settings for a given setting to keep all achievements, as well as a warning when a preset may disable some achievements. Also, death worlds should NOT disable the achievements, but they currently do.
