Recycler. Toggle setting to output only stacks

Giving recycler option to output only stacks would help with filling belt to it's maximum. Those recipes that goes to itself or giving out single item, this would help to achieve fully stacked belt
Items with more recycling item?
Recycler would output normally till it gets that space

What would you do if the recycler's internal slots become full? Just not output?
How would you apply this toggle?
Would there be a visual indicator if it's on or not, and if so how would you display it?
I could see it leading to somewhat invisible jams, where the machine isn't working because the slots are full but with no full stacks to output. You could argue that this is a similar issue as with stack interters - i.e. be careful how you use it.

Internal gets full, so it output normal way till space is available
Toggle would be like circuit. Open recycler - check toggle: Maybe UI shows that stack option is ON or blue indicator to recycler
I know this would be "stack inserter 2" basically, so using stack function would be totally optional in certain cases

I do like the idea of buildings having more visual indicators, especially when alt mode is off. So much of the graphics are covered up by the icons, but it's difficult to play without alt mode. I sometimes connect lights to my buildings to see when they're working.
The idea of different modes for buildings is interesting, but also I feel that this would need to be done circumspectly, because part of the game is working around the limitations. Maybe the current way recyclers work creates an interesting challenge that would be lost if you could stack items. For example, when you recycle items with a lot of components you have to deal with many items on the belt.

Little more to topic. Adding full stack would also help recycler to work longer durations. Now it can fully stop, when there even one single different quality after roll. It stops at item count of 1-3. With stacks it would bypass that stop and work till there's full stack of that one item giving it full input control of different quality items in inventory

I think that this would add unnecessary complexity. It's very easy to stack the output with a single stack inserter.

It sure is, but every inserter adding hit to UPS. I'm almost at 10ms inserter update. I would see this more like performance feature than anything else. I could delete 15 000 inserter from recyclers

Note making the recycler do the stacking would just make its performance worse comparably to using an inserter to force stacking. Just skip the stacking and output directly onto a belt or into a logistic provide chest.
