Make wall placement be like transport belt placement

TL;DR
When placing belts, they become "locked" to a horizontal or vertical line that they can be placed on until R is pressed.
Please implement the same behavior for walls.
What?
Placing 1 single wall piece would work as it does currently.
Holding and dragging that wall piece anywhere would still also work as it does currently.
Holding the wall piece and then pressing R would enter a different mode for the entire time it is held. In this mode, dragging the mouse on another tile from the initial position would choose that "line" as the direction for the wall, and would then act exactly the same as transport belts do (but with walls).
Pressing R again would change the direction immediately.
Additionally, I might as well put this here too: please lower the (manual) mining time of walls as well so that they are quicker to move.
Why?
Building the outer wall around your base, while a relief as it future-proofs you base, is a HUGE pain to build - very boring. This would make that a lot better.
Moving the wall is also a huge pain while your bots aren't upgraded and before full roboport coverage, so it would be nice to not punish the player for wanting to expand their wall with a long boring stretch of time.
