In the secret settings menu there's an... ominous setting. Does anyone know what it does

It disables Sounds from machinery on Space Platforms, because there is no atmosphere (and thus, no Sound propagation through vibrations without physical contact) in a Vacuum.

There are still some Environmental sounds and Music present on these surfaces. For a realistic Space Travel experience you can also use the Mute button.

It would be cooler, but a lot of work, to make new sounds for what everything would sound like vibrating through the platform itself.

It applies a low pass filter with cutoff frequency of 200 - 500Hz depending on the zoom level. It's just a little fun thing we added to kinda make it sound like it's the vibrations of machines going through the platform itself, without needing to create a bunch of new (variations of) sounds.

And btw, the cutoff frequency range is moddable: space_LPF_min_cutoff_frequency, space_LPF_max_cutoff_frequency.

Feature exists? I have a timer to eject Biter Eggs from my Science platform if they have been sitting for more than a few minutes….

I think you can do that by severing platform where biter is standing with mines, but I don't know how to trigger that without la creature dying in the process. Maybe a belt of eggs that goes far enough from the end of the line that all hatch at the same time and only some in range of triggering the mines?
