A better mods management system based on groups
A better mods management system based on groups and not only on mods itselfWhat?
I would like to have a better mod management system based on “groups”. I would like to see in the mods management window a button that give me the opportunity to create a named “group” that can list an unlimited list of downloaded mods that can be activated and deactivated with a global checkbox. That could be helpful with extra "Planets" mods to be able to handle all planets mod in a "bulky" way. I don't mean that groups must have more than one instance of a mod. Some mods should stay alone in the list like the "UltraCube" mod but it is fastidious to have to click on each mod to activate/deactivate them when you want change from "space age with extra planets" to "UltraCube" that is incompatible with space age and so it's extra planets. If I have at least only one level of usable "group" of mod it could be helpful to manage my downloaded mods. Having 5-6 checkbox to change is better than 50-60. Maybe you can add a full any level of groups with group in a group, but in my mind a mod have to be listed only one time, like in the current display, just add groups to organize compatibility between them. Why?
QOL of mod management. Changing configuration when you want test mods or change save with different configuration is actually too much painful and can be easily simplified.I would do it myself if the code would be disponible on github or the window could be moded but it's not the case.
