Please revert the fluid system changes

As the topic title suggests, I hereby propose a complete reversal of the fluid mechanic changes done in 2.0.
The abstract and boring nature of the new mechanic is the main reason why I kinda got tired of the game. It's a straight major downgrade gameplay wise.
I would also settle for having at least the option to play with the old system. I don't care about incompatibility with blueprints/savegames/multipayer or what not, as long as I can just play the real game (including Space Age) again.

You’re free to download any pre-2.0 version of the game to play with the old system. Otherwise the current system is staying.

Yeah I am doing that but like I said, I wanna play Space Age with the real fluid system, will make the game so much better to upgrade it like that.

Request mod.
Just like how turrents, belts, spidertron and more don't need electricity, buldings instantly are constructed, and so many more "non realistic", the new fluit sysyem is a QoL as well exactly because anything to do with pipes is a massive CHORE.
You want realistic? People want to play a game, have fun, and enjoy it. Not a real life simulator, while working. There are tons of fluit mods that can made your "experience" a second job.
Or what, am I somehow not aware, and people actually enjoy fluid managment? As far as I'm aware, most changes where made exactly because people can't stand them.

I don't think it's possible to mod it in. And since when is Wube catering to the masses?

As someone with 200 hours and only just recently got back into this game and barely remembers the old system at all, I have been frustrated with how easy it is to connect pipelines, and would also prefer a more, ahaha, 'fluid', fluid system like it sounds like it was before the update. It doesnt feel like there's any rewarding or satisfying logistical challenge or hurdle to overcome. I hate how instant it is. It's boring and feels so much less *coughs* fluid... I want fluids to like, lose pressure the longer the pipe is and stuff, so I have to come up with a pump system or something, seeing as the materials to make thousands of pumps are easy to come by. Wish we had more of a reason to make those than we already do. It feels like Wube had something interesting but removed it for something easier to code when they couldn't figure out how to make it work. Factorio is a game for people who like to overcome challenges, not have everything spoon-fed to them. having instantaneous fluid removes some of the sense of authorship in my factory.

Thank you for the support, you put it exactly how it is. Yeah we lost something big there. I kinda gave up on Space Age mainly due to this, I find 1.1 to be a more fun game in general.
To me it proves you can add hundreds of gimmicks to the game but if the core mechanics which make up everything else are not interesting the resulting game is just more of less.
There are some efforts ongoing to improve the fluid system but I have no high hopes, devs seems very reluctant to try something big.
