It is animated as 3 frames, the screenshot is from its outward-most state (the "wave" being the furthest away from the origin). What does it mean? Another ghosted asteroid collector on the same platform doesn't have it and neither is missing space platform foundation

PS. (since I can't reply there, I'll post it here) I was reading the FAQ in this board and noticed the following. This hotkey was changed no? Isn't it "shoot selected entity" by default now?
Pause game with GUIs open: Shift + Space

Yup, the key is now the 'pause' key on the keyboard, but most keyboards don't even have that button.

The best place to complain about the FAQ though is probably viewforum.php?f=55

Not 100% sure , but to me it seem this icon is just showing that the asteroid collector is processing its surroundings, creating a mesh, so that the tentacles can find chunks when they enter the scanned surrounding.

If you were to try and place such asteroid collector where the collecting area is obstructed, it wouldn't be green.

Such icon is "rarely" visible supposedly, it can be a for a little while when the area around the collector look like a maze but should disappear soon, if it doesn't it shows the asteroid collector is obstructed.

This green status indicator is meaningless for ghosts. When asteroid collector is fully built it will show up when tiles are changing on the platform. In short, it indicates that asteroid collector cannot work right now because it is doing navmesh computation.

The number of keyboards I've seen without it in the last 30 years is limited to only some notebooks, and even then it was usually available as a function button combination. Unless omitting keys is an Apple thing I'm not familiar with.

Well my 108-key desktop keyboard doesn't have it (or break), but I can rebind one of the F keys to it if I really want. And I've read other people on this forum complaining too. I've just rebound it to insert though (as that's next to were the pause key should be!)

Thanks for the replies everyone!

So what I understand is that it's basically an internal debugging symbol that you shouldn't see for more than a tick or so (unless the game is very busy doing other stuff perhaps), and that on ghosts it shouldn't show up at all.
So it's a bug that it showed up on this one. Not sure it's worth reporting though, placing the ghost (launching the equipment) fixed it and I can't reproduce it. I would still have the old save where it showed up for hours iirc.

As for the pause key: yeah my keyboard has one, as does every keyboard I've ever owned aside from laptops (I guess those are penny-pinched so the majority of people still have what they need, and not everyone plays games. Next, they'll remove the Q key because it's not used enough... removing it is an annoying practice imo but even techie-oriented brands like Framework don't have one so we'll have to make due with combos or something...)
