Tree farms should require nutrients or compost as input, you cannot plant and harvest on the same soil for eternity without fertility input.

Should be a bug. Gleba is too easy.

Sounds more like a feature request as there is nothing that is not working as intended right ?

In the haste to release space age I think this was obviously overlooked. As said, can't grow and harvest for eternity on the same patch without an input, no soil is that rich... Should be a bug.

I think you are wrong, it was planned for gameplay purposes, and alien planets do not have to follow your expectations on what is a a good soil or not.

Plus there's no reason you cant harvest and grow for eternity on the same patch, the inputs are coming from rain and wildlife, insects and bacteria that transform things in the soil.

You only need input if you are trying to extract more from the ground that the pace at which the natural cycle that created the soil on which you grow is exceeded.

Perhaps then add it to death world settings.

You might post this in mod ideas and see if somebody wants to take it on. I'm sure the way it works now was intentional.

I could see it work as mod where you add compost or fertilizer if you want a faster growth, or a deathworld setting where you need extra input :)
