Ability to use Concrete on Space Platforms

I was trying to improve the aesthetics of my platform and realized how cool it would be to be able to use concrete variants on the platform.
Concept-wise, it conflicts a bit since the platform is meant to be this big.. almost organic.. body that channels power and resources throughout it's interworkings... BUT- this could be a cool feature for that as well.
Concrete could have the additional effects of disallowing building atop it, as well as preventing power from from flowing. You could then use the latter to bifurcate the platform into separate power sectors. A clever platform designer might be able to use this to have more control over power priority (e.g. the sector that powers turret ammo supply could be given more solar panels)
