played last night just fine then saved n exit as usual. when i load it now i notice on occation for some reason it brings up discord in the background, i noticed that it had a update so i tried to update it to see if it helped but it didnt. ive verified game files, cant think of anything else that have changed since i went to bed

issue been resolved, did a reboot of pc and whatever caused it to crash somehow got resolved
back to binging factorio

Thanks for the report and for letting us know PC reboot fixed it.

When you started Factorio, there were only ~3 GB RAM left out of 32 GB and ~1 GB of page file space left out of 128 GB, so the game crashed because it failed to allocate memory it needed. It looks like Windows was not freeing no longer used memory, we see it happening from time to time in logs from time to time, but we have no idea why Windows does that.
