Quality agricultural tower. Some ideas what quality would do

Bigger seed area if animation doesn't make it look weird. Or it would be only building, that increases it's size with quality
More fruits per quality level
5% change per quality to not use seeds when planting
Less spores from harvest

Personally, I imagined that it could make fruits grow faster. But I think both this, and your spore reduction/harvest increase idea, are not possible for technical reasons. The growth speed and spores and fruits per harvest are attributes of the jellystem/yumako entity, not the tower.
The seed use reduction would not be very useful, Gleba bases large enough to be using quality towers are probably already burning up excess seeds.
The farming area increase was definitely not implemented because of how it would affect the sprite/animation. And I honestly don’t see any way around it.
I think the reason they didn’t add a quality bonus to this building, is because there is simply no way to do it. I don’t like it either, but I think it’s something we simply have to accept.

All those BS qualities need to go away. The ag tower at least gets more health, ok boomer. But something like quality seeds are just useless, and if anything only make you handle it before it clogs your system, by e.g. explicitly request them somewhere. Is it the task of the player, to work around poor game design decisions now?

Best way could be faster turning rate like inserters
