Personally, the Car's diesel clatter is lovely and I would like to up the engine's volume but there is no way to do that in the menu; the only way I CAN make the Car's engine louder is by turning up my system's volume. However, I've been startled enough times already...

Thus so, please add an option where I can increase the diesel clatter sound by 500% minimum :PP

An option for a specific sound is asking a lot, you should be able to do it with a simple mod though.

It does work, just download it and manually modify the info.json file and replace the two mentions of '1.1' with '2.0'.
Then put the folder in C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Factorio\mods\.

Hmm, how does it work tho? Any idea. I thought there would be sliders in the menus or something but it seems I need to adjust the files? I tried to add to the lines in the setting file but nothing seems affected...

No don't modify the files,
once the mod is loaded, go to the in game settings and click the 'mods' button,

there will be a textbox, where you type in a comma seperated list of this form: the firsr part is a path to a file in factorio's data folder (wherever factorio is installed) and the second part is what to multiply the sounds Volume by.

If you download the second-latest version of the mod, it will gice you a much easier to use settings interface, but it doesn't let you manually specify the sound file paths.
