[2.0.21] Limited starting resources for Vulcanus ribbon world

1. What did you do?

Recently been playing the "Ribbon world" map preset where map height is limited to only 128 tiles,
first planet I landed on was Vulcanus.

2. What happened?

I noticed that there was only coal available in the starting area.

3. What did you expect to happen instead?

I expected sulfuric acid and calcite to also be in the starting area.

4. Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?

This is my first Space Age playthrough on a "Ribbon world" preset, sample size is too low,
I'd assume it happens only sometimes though.

Hope it's ok to add to this issue. I started my first space age playthrough on a ribbon world (my favorite way to play) and Vulcanus seems to be borked as well. Sucks a bit to discover this after 70 hours, but Nauvis and Fulgora were good.

Thanks for the report however I'm going to put this into won't fix. Ribbon world was at best a "maybe it works" niche scenario. If it doesn't work with space age, I don't consider it worth the extra work and map generator changes to try to shoe-horn it into working.

I completely understand. In that case, wouldn't it be better to just remove it entirely from the list of presets? I feel like a preset gives me the impression that something is "officially" supported/vetted by the devs. And all we need to be able to create a ribbon is the Map / height input field.

I think putting a small text notice for the user that it may not work best with Space Age would be sufficient enough, that way the user won't expect everything to work flawlessly, as usually the case for most things in Factorio.

I'm doing a ribbonworld at 32 tiles tall, and I will have to go numerous thousands of tiles on the planets beside Nauvis to get resources. Checking in the map generator as well as using commands to reveal the worlds helped me; ribbon worlds are special sometimes.

Personally, I will be going to Fulgora first to get better armor to travel faster on other planets.
