[2.0.21] 'Shift + Left-click' overwrites train stop instead of adding it to schedule when zoomed in

Before starting, enable the option that shows keyboard shortcuts,.
1. Place a train station.
2. Place another train station.
3. Shift + right click train station from step 1, to copy the train station settings.
4. Place a train.
5. Now, open the train schedule manager.
6. Note the tooltip says "Shift + Left-click: Add the selected stop to the schedule".
7. Zoom in, so the view shows the actual train stop, not the map view.
8. Shift + Left-click on the station from step 2.
Expected: The step-2 station is added to the train schedule, because that's what the keyboard shortcut tip says.
Actual: The settings from step-1 station are copied onto step-2.
This behaviour isn't obvious, and can throw a train network into chaos.
