What did you do?
- have a steel chest with a few items in it
- open this chest in the remote viewer
- [Right-Click] to set remove request on the slot
- [Q] to pick iron plate ghost
- [Left-Click] to remove the remove request and set an item request

What happened?
I had both an active item request and item remove request

What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
Not having both type of requests - I expected the remove request to be cleared and optionally setting a request on the first click.

Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
Always

Picture:
Chest having 92 iron plates in it with a remove request for 92 plates and request for 8 plates.
After the robots doing their work, 8 plates remain in the chest.

You may get a "not a bug" reply and here's why:

To remove a "remove item request" while in remote view you right-click again.

The logical response to the above statement (when paired with your report) is that using the preexisting "ghost" function would be a logical quality of life addition, and it would, but it would also be more code (check if the ghost item is the same as remove request item), especially when what you are trying to do already exists through a more simple method.

Basically, think of it this way:
1. It's already possible to clear the "remove item" request by simply right-clicking again
2. Some people will want to remove an item/stack from a slot and replace it with a new item/stack
3. To make it so that placing a ghost item in a slot of the item already in that slot, but that was previously requested to be removed, removes the remove item request (that's a 'mouth full') would require new code to specifically check if the new item is the same as the existing item and if the existing item has been requested to be removed...
AND adding new code can always lead to new bugs. And that's the key important part.


However, it's entirely possible that I have misunderstood your report and am providing information you already knew. If that's the case then I apologize.

Thanks for the report however I'm going to put this into not a bug. It's entirely valid to have an item requested to be delivered to a slot while also wanting the existing item to be removed.
