Selector Combinator - Quality Filter Input

This might actually be a feature request but here goes:
Quality Filter mode, does not take input to select quality.
Quality Transfer does.
Why i would like Quality Filter to take Quality from input is:
I am setting up a blueprint, where i can request any item, of any rarity, and the machines will try to upcycle until that item is made.
Automatic request, automatic checking of amount, etc.
But when i wanted to set up a requester chest to recycle everything of item under the target quality of the current item being attempted in crafting, i could not automatically select it through an input signal.
I admit it is a niche use case, but it feels strange that it cannot do that, when the other quality transfer mode can.
I have now worked around it by setting up 10 Selector Combinators. One to pass the input signal to the output if the rarity if one of the 5 rarities or higher.
And then a 2nd row of 5 which will quality transfer for each of those first 5 that passed it's signal or not. Effectively creating "anything below input rarity" but it's not pretty in my opinion.
