[2.0.21] Crash when using incorrectly-zipped mods

I have now twice had my entire computer crash, turn off, and restart when trying to boot factorio after receiving an error about the name of a zip not matching the name+version defined in info.json. (So the zip is just named Fire-Electronics instead of Fire-Electronics_2.0.1)
I start factorio, receive the error, go delete the zips since I don't need them anymore, click Ok on the error, press play in steam to launch the game again, and then crash.
I am on windows 10 home 22H2 build 19045.5198
My hardware is a 10900k Intel CPU, and a 3070 NVidia GPU, with everything else listed here:

Can you please provide a zip and steps to reproduce the total computer crash?

Place a zip of a mod in the mod folder. This zip should be normal, aside from missing the version in the name. (I have attached one from the mod that has caused it both times)
Press Play in Steam to launch Factorio.
Receive error message about the zip name not matching the modname+version.
Delete mod zip.
Click Ok on the error window to dismiss it.
Press Play in Steam to launch Factorio.
Computer crashes, as if power was cut. Not a bluescreen.

When I perform those steps Factorio simply re-launches at the final step. My computer experiences no such crash/restart.
I highly suspect your computer hardware is failing if you're getting a total system crash and reboot when trying to launch a user-space process.

Only other time I've had a crash like this was when I was implementing an undervolt and downclock on the CPU. But I haven't done anything for that in months.
I suppose factorio could be hitting the CPU harder than anything else I've done, and triggering the same sort of crash, but then I don't know why it wouldn't do that every time I launch Factorio. I can't imagine it would somehow launch differently when there's an error with the previous launch vs when there isn't.

Maybe because of the (suspected) hardware issue?
You may want to check event viewer to see if it mentions anything related to "blue screen" (it does this when it crashes, even when the blue screen itself doesn't appear) "restart" or "error" from around the time when the device crashes. I recommend that you cause the issue again then use event viewer as the relevant logs will be closer to the top.
