[2.0.21] Pipette works in research queue / technology tree, no visual feedback
Posted: Sat Nov 23, 2024 10:46 am
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open research queue / technology tree.
2. Click on any unresearched technology providing pipette'able entities.
3. Move cursor on any such item in that technology's Effects tab.
4. Hit Q.
Expected Result 1 (if pipette is supposed to work in queue)
Hovered item appears in cursor as pipette'ed.
Actual Result 1
Cursor does not change.
It's a problem because in fact (see AR2) cursor state and behaviour did changed but end user is given 0 feedback on this.
5. Close tech tree/queue.
ER2 (if pipette is not supposed to work in queue)
Cursor does not change. Nothing is pipette'd. Unresearched tech can't be placed without abusing blueprints borrowed from Trupen.
AR2
Item hovered in tech tree appears as pipette'd and its ghosts can be placed as normal despite it's not researched yet.
It's... I don't think that it's a problem at all but who knows... Being able to premeditate whole sections of base is nice! But, still...

Ubuntu 24.10 x64, Factorio Experimental stand-alone latest... nothing abnormal, I guess.
GnomeTweaks is installed but since most its theme features prpoduce pug ugly results in 24.10 - I didn't changed cursor, etc.
