Scrolling through qualities (ALT+Mousewheeel) made me realize how nice it would be if we could sroll through tiers.
For Belt and Assembler placement primarily. I don't know how many of you actually build with different tiers or if everyone just builds with the highest tier available.
But I wanted to change my style because I started to think it looks cooler when I have a full yellow belt instead of a fragmented blue or green belt. And sometimes there is just no need for a full blue or green belt.
And having to have just one belt, underground, and splitter symbol in the quickbar instead of all tiers, would be nice too.

I know of at least two mods which add this:
Cursor Enhancements:
Adds "Scroll item subgroup... to switch between different items in the same subgroup." (limited but easy and simple)

OSHA Hot Swap:
UI to generate custom list of items to scroll through with the ability to link multiple lists. Increased functionality at the cost of complex (and doesn't have a way to port layouts between saves).

I would really love this feature to be integrated into the game (ideally auto-generated with the ability to customize) I can understand why developers would be hesitant to add.
A nice side effect is the number of hotbar slots I use is drastically reduced (since I enjoy using different tiers depending on there purpose). (Pipe: Standard/underground/storage/pump, Refinery/chemical, Belts Tiers/Inserted/Splitter are all linked, logistic chest types, ect)
