Automated landfill should be optional

TL;DR
Automated landfill should not be the default for shift build. It should either be an option, or limited to super-force build, as it was in FFF-383.
Why?
While automated landfill is great when you *want* to build over water or in space, many times it's not wanted. For example:
- When building walls in water choke points. I want to remove trees, but not build on water, as that reduces the defense for no reason
- When building accumulators on Fulgora. I don't want to spend expensive foundations, but still have the option to build near the edges
What?
Automated landfill should limited to super force building, for the reasons explained in FFF-383, or an optional feature in the settings.

+1, I had to make a deconstruction planner to keep removing landfill over water while I placed refined concrete. Whether because I want the water or can't afford the landfill, I don't like having to clean up after myself as the default, when previously it was fine.

+1, going back to Fulgora is annoying after having unlocked Foundation.
Pre-foundation you can just spam shift concrete everywhere, and let robots deal with it eventually, after, you have to manually walk around & place the concrete.

+1 I don't need stuff out on the ocean, and if I did I'd use Super Force build mode. Regular shift would be better not to automatically landfill

+1 Fine control would be nice. Global settings and possibly separate settings for each blueprint.

Alternatively, automatic Landfill might be fine, but pasting concrete and the like shouldn't automatically place foundation IMHO.

+1, landfill (/tiles) should only be placed with super-force-building.

Came to the forums looking for a solution to this problem. As others have mentioned, trying to build walls especially is irritating. It worked fine prior to 2.0. This is one change I hope they change back.
I dug through the settings to see if it was an option. That would be great, or like mentioned, limiting it to super force build.

+1 - annoying having water filled in when placing defensive wall blueprints etc.

Please make it an option, or limit it to super force.

I would like this as an option, and I would also like an option to turn off automatically destroying cliffs in the same circumstances (when using them as walls on Nauvis, or for aesthetics).

Ha, yes! +1 to this too.
So far I have deliberately avoided researching cliff explosives, for this exact reason... which created the additional challenge of always having to avoid cliffs. Fun but sometimes annoying.
It would be really nice to research it but then only use it when I actually want it.

Yeah, I regret getting foundation then going back to fulgora. But I have a workaround for now.
Don't carry any foundation on you, or put all of it in steel chests. inaccessible to bots. Spam away, then use a filtered tile ghost filter to remove all the remaining ghosts that were on foundation.

And perhaps same should hold true for cliff Explosives, only do when in super force mode.

For foundation there is now a nice mod.
