if you go to pick up a tank and have a full or mostly full inventory, anything in the equipment grid and inventory slots of the tank, including the tank itself, will be deleted instead of preventing you from picking it up and giving the "no inventory space" message pop-up. If you have inventory space but not enough, then it will simply fill your inventory and delete the rest of the items.

Thanks for the report however I can not reproduce any issue with trying to pick up a tank with insufficient inventory space. Are you using any mods? Can you please post a save file that shows this issue?
