Change recipe button ought to remember previous recipe

What I did :
(clicked button)
change_recipe_1.png
change_recipe_1.png (180.25 KiB) Viewed 553 times

What I expected to happen :
(screen opens)
change_recipe_3.png
change_recipe_3.png (183.62 KiB) Viewed 553 times

What happened instead :
(screen opens)
change_recipe_2.png
change_recipe_2.png (181.95 KiB) Viewed 553 times

P.S.: The last one could have been even 'worse' : it seems to remember the last tab you were in last time you were in this screen, which in this case still happened to be Production, but could have been anything else, for an even more increased feeling of getting lost.

I just noticed that when you click on a set filter, what you clicked on is remembered (including its quality), I think it would be nice for this to work similarly for recipes.

+1. This would be useful for changing the ingredient quality of a production chain, or changing the recipe while leaving the quality alone (e.g. when making different kinds of modules).

+1 to this idea. Having feedback on the current recipe you are trying to change would be good and have practically no downsides.

Select current recipe when changing assembler recipe

In 1.1 I was always choosing a new recipe when I clicked the gears in an assembler, so it didn't matter that the default selection was null.

In 2.0, I often open that dialog to change the quality of a recipe. It's annoying to have to find and select the same recipe again. It would be nice if it was pre-selected.

Make ingredient quality selection independent of recipe selection

TL;DR
If selecting quality could be done without reselecting the recipe it would be so much nicer to deal with.

What?
Put it here and allow for it to be changed independently of the recipe

Why?
It is extremely annoying to deal with mixed quality because of how many clicks it is to set up all the tiers, to the point that I genuinely quit at Fulgora over it.

This is what it's like currently to create an array of assemblers for a mixed quality assembly line:

This is what it would be like if this was implemented.

When clicking "change recipe" on the building, start with the current recipe and quality pre-selected. This will allow you to change one or the other very quickly when copying buildings.

Yeah I figured someone else would have made a thread for this - not really sure how playtesting didn't catch it tbh. A pain in the butt, if you use your best (/best moduled) assembler to make 5 things in a row. Please remember quality and recipe.

+1 this is still annoying after playing a long while.

A strange thing: this is already the case with signals.

If you change the signal of a constant combinator (for example), the selection will default to what it currently is. So you can easily switch from an uncommon iron plate signal to a rare iron plate signal.

But for recipes you have to start from scratch and click both every time.

I agree, it doesn't make sense that it doesn't work this way. I should be able to quickly click to change quality without having to reselect the recipe I was already using in the assembly machine.
