Copper wire between pole and logistic port

1. Is it possible to connect a logic port to a pole using a copper wire?
2. Is it possible to connect a logic port to another logic port using a copper wire?
3. How can I track whether an object has a logic port before one of the colored wires is connected to it? For example, I can track that an object uses electricity via entity.prototype.electric_energy_source_prototype. But how can I track a logic port?
4. Is it possible to create a logic port or something similar on an object to which a copper cable can be connected? Invisible poles are not an elegant solution.
