[2.0.15] crash on Vulcanus - Audio clip sample not loaded

After 1100 hrs of Factorio, my first crash (that is likely not hardware related) has happened. I am early game on Vulcanus, not a lot of things going on and it happened out of absolutely nowhere. I'm on Linux x86_64 6.5.0-28-generic #29-Ubuntu with a AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3945WX 12-Cores CPU. No mods, vanilla Space Age.

It *just* happened again, exatly the same issue apparently as far as I can tell. Again on Vulcanus, I was just placing down some inserters:

The log indicates it couldn't load an audio file (data/space-age/sound/ambient/vulcanus/interlude-2/interlude-2-a-5.ogg). There is no reason it should fail unless the file is corrupted, try verifying files/reinstalling the game.

Indeed... verifying on Steam showed that 2 files were corrupt and have been reacquired. I've pulled a copy of that file in question before validating and they are COMPLETELY different (looked at them with a hex editor). Not sure what was going on there, possibly some FS corruption?
