[2.0.15] Number field for upper limit of request from/to landing pad from/to space platform does NOT accept smart format

A few keyword searches didn't give any result, so I think this one has not been reported yet.
Issue:
In both the landing pad, as well as the space platform hub you can set a request for items from/to space. This request sub-menu has two input fields for numbers at the bottom. One on the left for the lower limit, and one on the right for the upper limit (by default set to "inf.)
The one for the upper limit, so the right input field in the inferface, does NOT take smart number format. The left one does.
In other words, I CAN input something "10k", "2^8", "1M" in the LOWER bounds field; I CANNOT do that in the upper limit field and have to put in 10000. Moreso, typing 'M' takes me to the map view instead.
This issue is present at both the landing pad interface and the space platform hub interface.
What I had expected:
That the field would take smart number format just like any other input field.
