How do I parameterize the ingredients of another parameter? The 'Set the Filter' GUI is always blank

I'm trying to configure a decider combinator to output a recipe signal and evaluate the signal input of 6 possible ingredients. When I parameterize the ingredient signals, I can never set a ingredient of parameter 0 (recipe signal). What am I doing wrong?
