[2.0.15] Items not tracked properly when sideloaded from splitter

I was trying to create a sushi belt, in order to make an automall, and was using the Read-Hold (All Belts) feature to read the contents of the entire belt. I used a splitter to make a lane balancer using the design shown in the screenshot below, where one output from the splitter sideloads directly onto the belt and the other loops around to load from the other side. I also added a wire to track the contents of the lane balancer belt, also as shown in the screenshot.

However, I noticed that the readings from the belts were not as consistent as I would like them to be, jiggling by 1 or 2 items each way almost constantly. In the attached demo save game, each of the three belts has 50 sulfur on them, added by dropping one stack into the chests in the middle of the belt and letting the inserter add it to the belts, but the one on the right sometimes shows a reading of 48 or 49. After some further testing, the other two designs for lane-balancing do not have this problem, so I believe it only occurs when sideloading directly from a balancer onto a belt.

Thanks for the report. You can observe the tooltip for the read belt setting that this is intended.

Looking at the tooltip again, I confirm that. "Belts are cut when sideloading and inside splitters", and here I was expecting it to work when sideloading from a splitter.
