Placing pipe on yourself and getting stuck

Underground pipes are allowed to be placed on top of the player. If you have pipes in an arrangement similar to this, and you place the underground pipe while standing in it, your character gets stuck in the pipe. This seems unintended. No mods in use, except space age dlc.
