Hi!
I'm trying to remotely fill a rocket with processing units from a requester chest, but the fast inserter with the filter for processing units gets stuck with a "Waiting for source items" error, even though the chest contains the item.
Expected result: the inserter picks up processing units and puts them into the rocket.
This has happened for both fast inserters that I have configured, and both chests.
If I add a new requester chest with processing units in it and a new inserter, even without any filters, it still does not pick the processing units.
This is happening on Nauvis, but my character is on the space platform above Nauvis, if that helps.

Update.
Yellow and green inserters have the same behaviour. But if I filter them for red ammo, for example, they pick it up without a problem.
Also, I've sent my character to the planet and it didn't affect the inserter behaviour.

Thanks for the report. This looks like a limitation of manually sending items that are used to craft the rocket itself. Because inserters need to load blue circuits into the silo to craft the rocket they won't put the blue circuits into the rocket itself. If they did, every singe rocket crafted everywhere would always be loading blue circuits.

So right now, I have no answer for this. You have to use automatic requests and robots for any of the items that are used to craft a rocket.

Hi! Thank you for the answer. I get the reason why this is set up how it is, but I still have some issues with this.
This issue is not about blue chips, but rocket fuel.
I want to send rocket fuel from Gleba, but there is no way to automatically load it there. Manual loading does not work because of the mechanism you've described, and automatic loading with bots does not work because it can only be done on Nauvis.
Is there any way I can work around this issue, besides sending the character to Gleba?

Make sure you change the "Import from" setting of the Rocket fuel logistic request to Gleba. It seems to default to Nauvis.
