[2.0.13] Frame dip on Steam Deck

I am playing factorio space age on my steam deck, and every 20-30 seconds the ups and fps will dip down to 1 for just 5 or 6 frames. This is pretty annoying to play with. When the frame rate is not dropping it is running at a rock solid 60 ups/fps.
My world is not that big, i just went to vulcanus and set up metallurgy science, so the performance of the steam deck shouldn't be the problem.
I have also previously played and finished a fully modded seablock run, where my ups only dropped to around 55 when I was in super late game, so again I don't think the power of the steam deck is the problem.
Does anyone else playing on the steam deck or on Linux have the same issue?
I am using the latest version of SteamOs (3.6.20)
And i am playing without any mods

Playing also on the Deck, mostly in Desktop mode. No issues here even tho I am on the previous Steam OS version still.

That's weird
One of my friends just wrote to me that it looked like I entered and exited factorio all the time I was playing.
Could that maybe be the problem?

Maybe, are you playing in game mode or desktop mode? Do you run any software on the side of the game that can affect performance or the hardware behavior? I still did not try the latest Steam OS but i doubt that can be the issue.

I'm playing in game mode.
There are no programs running in the background, only factorio

Try if it works better in Desktop mode? You can just go there, open Steam and launch Factorio.

I recently upgraded to the latest Steam OS 3.6.20 and the game still works fine. I suggest you factory reset your device if this is still happening.

Are there any hardware modifications? Is it only Factorio behaving like this? Is it also happening on a new save or only when you've progressed further?
I would try the following. Back up the saves (/home/deck/.factorio/ AND /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/userdata/XXXXXXX/427520/) then disable Steam Cloud Sync for Factorio.
Now completely delete the above directories from their original locations. Start the game, it will start up fresh without any data at default settings. Test the game in this state.
