Missing vampiric regen in `Big premature wriggler pentapod` wiki entry

I wanted to let this guy die of age, as my shields defend me fully and I don't even notice them in remote mode:
I have seen them die in the wild. They have negative healing, as denoted in the wiki.
However, this wiki fails to note they heal when they bite on me. This confuses me, as Wiki implies that they should die. They die on their own but not in a fight.
Stats:
healing: -5hp/s
shooting speed: 2.31/s
They regenerate one hp per about 8-10 bites when they eat me. Negative healing is included.
Bites total: 9
time = 9 / (2.31/s) = 3.9s
healed: 3.9s * (-5hp/s) = -19.5hp
actually healed: 1hp
vampiric bite healing total 1hp - (-19.5hp) = 20.5hp
vampiric per bite = 20.5hp / (2.31/s) = 8.9hp (per bite)
