Inserters will not put items into cargo bays.

As seen in the picture below, my bulk inserters are refusing to put asteroids into the cargo bays. They're able to do this just fine into the hub itself, but refuse to add items into the cargo bays.
Why do you think cargo wagon can't be placed in space. Only the central hub can be used to access the items with inserters. It can be utilised on a small platforms, but it can't be abused in a scalable way.
